InspectCapture is built for field documentation professionals. We collect only what is needed to make the app work and protect your data.
Overview
InspectCapture ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS app for field documentation in water mitigation and restoration. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
No advertising. No tracking. No data sold to third parties. We do not use data for advertising, we do not share data with data brokers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data we collect
The table below matches the categories declared in our App Privacy disclosure on the App Store.

Photos captured in the app have automatic on-device face blur applied before they leave your device. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone and we never receive un-blurred photos of people.
How we use your data
- App functionality — delivering the core features of InspectCapture: room scanning, photo capture, measurements, report generation, and team workspace sync.
- Authentication — verifying your identity when you sign in to a workspace account.
- Crash and performance analytics — identifying and fixing bugs. Crash reports are not linked to your identity.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, sell to third parties, or for any purpose not listed here.
Third-party services
Sentry — we use Sentry for crash reporting and performance monitoring. Crash data is not linked to your name or email. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.
No other third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or data brokers are used in the app.
Data storage and retention
Offline mode: all project data (scans, photos, reports) is stored exclusively on your device. Deleting the app removes it permanently.
Workspace account: when you sign in and sync, your project data is stored on our servers to enable team access. We retain this data for as long as your workspace account is active. You may request deletion at any time — see below.
Crash and performance data collected by Sentry is retained according to Sentry's standard retention policy (90 days by default).
Your rights and choices
- Access & export — you can export your reports as PDF at any time from within the app, without needing an account.
- Deletion — to delete data associated with a workspace account, email us at [email protected]. We will process the request and confirm completion.
- Permissions — camera, microphone, photo library, and location access can be revoked at any time in Settings → InspectCapture on your iPhone.
- Offline use — you can use the core features of InspectCapture without an account. No data is transmitted when the app is used in offline mode.
Children's privacy
InspectCapture is intended for professional use by adults. The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will provide additional notice within the app.
